As East to West
I wish I knew how to talk to you
and I find it rather strange
I’m usually one to speak my mind
so I don’t understand the change
Everything I’d like to say
starts feeling out of place
But I need to express this before I go
while we’re still face to face
If you are the beauty, then I am the beast
If you were the west side, I’d be the east
I think you are the morning, when day is so fresh and new
When I count my blessings, the very first one is you.
And I can’t imagine life without you
If you think about me, you won’t say,
leaving me in the dark.
I guess that’s ok but I crave to know
who you’re holding in your heart.
Everyone needs everyone else
it’s not wise to go it alone
Though I may not see the fruit here and now,
love is the seed I have sown.
